Robiquetia spathulata

Robiquetia spathulata is a native orchid of Singapore. It is also found in some countries in South East Asia. This beautiful orchid is only recently has been re-discovered in 2006 by Park Ranger Mark Lim growing on a Vitex pinnata, next to a Bird’s Nest fern on Pulau Ubin. This species was recorded only once by Ridley, collected at Dalvey Road near the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

The plant is pendulous in growth and it produces some inflorescence with numerous beautiful yellow based tinged with defferent degree of red flowers.
