Dendrobium cruentum

Dendrobium cruentum can be found in Burma, Thailand and the northern Malaysia peninsula . This plant is almost extinct in the wild but it is consider fairly common in cultivation .

The flowers of Dendrobium cruentum are long lasting and this characterisitics is passed down to its progency. This beautiful dendrobium is in the bloodline of some well received hybrids like Dend Dawn Maree and Dendrobium Peng Seng.

Though many people has mentioned that dendrobium cruentum is a cool growing plant, it seem to be able to survive the hot and humid conditions of Singapore.

  1. Amazing Flower, I acquired 3 of these a couple months ago. Sad to say one of them was flowering, when suddenly overnight all the buds turned yellow. Even the ones that have not opened up/ blossomed turned yellow. Any idea why?
